The Glamorous Side of the Job

The first few days onsite you need a calm personality. We are basically in the middle of a field needing to operate like we are back at our offices in London W1!

First thing is getting the broadband & wireless set up – as there are hundreded of people wanting the same thing at the same time, so this can take time and the contractors are pretty stretched so best to handle gently. So knowing the lay of the land is helpful, and knowing in advance what is / isn’t possible for the first few days onsite.

As you can see the office is a Portcabin – and the portcabin is used in the first instance as a store.

So the next thing to do is a little DIY and a few hours later we are up and operational (ish)
