Action for Happiness is a movement of people committed to creating a happier society by making positive changes in their personal lives, homes, workplaces, and communities
Why?
We all want to live happy and fulfilling lives and we want the people we love to be happy too. So happiness matters to all of us.
Happiness is about our lives as a whole: it includes the fluctuating feelings we experience everyday but also our overall satisfaction with life. It is influenced by our genes, upbringing and our external circumstances – such as our health, our work and our financial situation. But crucially it is also heavily influenced by our choices – our inner attitudes, how we approach our relationships, our personal values and our sense of purpose.

The Charlie Waller Memorial Trust does an amazing job in helping to raise awareness to fight depression.
Why?
Their vision is of a world where people understand and talk openly about depression, where young people know how to maintain well-being, and where the most appropriate treatment is available to everyone who needs it.
The Trust aims to:
1. equip young people to look after their mental well being
2. help people to recognise the signs of depression in themselves and others so they know when to seek help
3. ensure expert and evidence-based help is available when people need it
