Tough few days for our Hotel Team – All International Guests arrive today, we have a fleet of 40 cars/drivers collecting guests throughout the day, all the final touches and sign off on the Hotel, Meeting and Greeting – gift packs, information handover, room drops. This evening a Welcome Drinks and Dinner.
Yesterdays moodscores are excellent, but if I was a betting man (which I am not)) I think our amazing moodscores might be under threat for tomorrow. Fingers crossed I am proved wrong
High – 71% (4% down)
Low – 62% (3% up)
Team Average – 67.6% (up 2.2% from yesterday and 2.5% above our yr. av. 65.1%)
We create an Operations Handbook – our 200 page bible for running all activities this week. Make that 2 x 200 as we have 2 Clients. We plan to the tiniest detail to de-risk as much as humanly possible. But when things do go wrong – as they always do with live events – we are prepared and have contingencies in place to deal with it, which takes us nicely to ‘Flow’;
Flow; The Open is the no.1 golf event in the world. We are planning for 10months. With large events of this nature, we look at it as being made up of lots of smaller events and theses smaller events are made up of lots of individual elements and actions. This enables us to focus not only on the long term planning but being disciplined & focused on the here and now. Even more important when looking after 2 clients!
