Who needs snow? This video from Candide Thovex, the innovative French freeskier, shows him perform a trick-filled ski run in Megève – with no white in sigh
Why wait for winter to ski?
When you’re as slope-happy as French pro freeskier Candide Thovex – and as stone-cold awesome – you don’t need something as rudimentary as snow to indulge in your favourite sport. Even if it is, technically, a “snow” sport.
In his latest video, promoting the Audi Quattro, Thovex takes on the slopes of Megève, France, in summer. There’s not a shred of white to be seen, but that doesn’t stop him from completing a madcap, trick-filled ski run, which includes some extreme tree skiing and a jump over a farmer on a tractor.
Thovex starts his run by skiing past some bored-looking cows, crossing a bridge and displaying some pretty impressive off-piste technique, considering he’s skiing through a summer meadow.
