Founded by Australian Blake Beattie in 2007, Pay it Forward Day works on the premise of sharing goodwill.

The hope is that they will then in turn show three more strangers another act of kindness and so on and so forth.
Last year, Pay it Forward Day was celebrated in 65 countries and this year organisers hope to inspire over three million acts of kindness.
The Telegraph decided to give it a whirl in London. It involved flowers, lunch and a parking fine…and here’s what happened.
